18 Jul 96

- Renamed config/aux to config/extras because aux is a reserved name
under Windows NT.

02 Jan 97

- Updated files to X11R6.3 and applied R6.3 fix-01.  Have not confirmed all
changes yet.

28 Mar 97

- Changed getline() in makdepend source to mdgetline() to avoid a
conflict with getline() being defined in GNU stdio.h already.

- The itools distribution can be used with Linux/PPC systems (e.g.,
MkLinux), but the X11R6.3 configuration files are not set up to allow this
as they are distributed.  Added linux-pmac.cf to config/cf for Linux/PPC
systems, modified the Linux vendor block in config/cf/Imake.cf to take
account of it.  Then "make World" in the itools directory should work.

- Finished changes needed for update of distribution to X11R6.3.

- Added perl versions of imboot and xmkmf, so that these utilities can
be used on WinNT systems that have NT perl installed.  (Requires the
pl2bat utility that converts a perl script to an executable .bat file.)

- Modified imake.c not to write octal constants to Imakefile.c

- Modified mkdirhier.c (for WinNT) since the _mkdir() return value test
didn't seem correct.

12 Apr 97

- Fixed bug in RM and MV substitution for config/extras/imboot.cpp.

- Eliminated "use of uninitialized variable" warning for imboot.pl
under Windows NT.  (Not fatal, but annoying.)

- "make test" for testing msub now works in config/extras under
Windows NT.

- config/cf/FreeBSD.cf: -lgnumalloc isn't needed for FreeBSD >= 3.x?

- Added Darwin support.  Affects files in config/imake and config/cf.
